Different Text Size on Topics
« on: Aug 10, 2012, 19:07:31 »
Hi! I've been having this problem for a while and thought it's not that big of a deal. But I want to know if there's something wrong with my codes. I'll be attaching some screencaps for it. I have two sticky topics  and one of them has bigger text size than the other. At first I thought I just zoomed in accidentally with the font size of my browser but no. Other topics have the same "standard/default" text size of the SilentWave theme. Then whenever I am on the Reply page, the font is the again bigger than the normal sized text of the theme.

Here's the "default" text size from one sticky topic:

And here's the other sticky topic with bigger everything:

And here's the reply window:

I just could not figure out what's wrong. Normal topics are default sized as far as I've checked.

Here's my forum's address: http://joliepittonline.org/thegrotto/

First of all thank you for elaborating with a very detailed explanation of your issue. Unfortunately it is a bit tough to put a finger on your problem without obtaining access to the actual forums where the issue resides.

Is there anything on those pages (with bigger writing) that isn't on other pages? I'm thinking embedded video or other custom uses of bbcode that might have syntax issues in it. Spoiler tags, perhaps.
When you want help, I'm likely to ask you questions. It's not because I'm a stubborn pain in the backside, it's because I need that information to actually be *able* to help you. Sooner you provide it, sooner you get help, simple as that.

I don't think I understand the question (I'm so sorry, English is my second language). But I'll try... I haven't really check if you're talking about codes.  :-[

If I were you what I would do is uninstall mods one-by-one to check which of them is affecting the text size and then re-install them back if you think it's not the one. Arantor is basically saying that one of the installed mods is what's affecting the text size on your forum. If you hadn't enabled maintenance mode it would have helped us figure the issue.

Wedge is the way to go

Well, no, that's not what I'm saying.

The writing is bigger on some pages. It isn't bigger on every page. Look at the screenshots you've posted. The first screenshot has the writing at regular size, the second has it bigger. Consequently it must be something that is specifically being used on the second page that isn't on the first that's causing it to foul up.

Huh? The forum is not on maintenance mode.
